Our Story
Safford Construction was founded in 2005 by Mike Safford, and businesses and residents have continued to trust our services over the last 14 years.
While attending the University of Nebraska at Lincoln (UNL) for his degree in Construction Engineering & Technology, Mike decided to pursue his goal to bring construction dreams to life by founding Safford Construction. With a small line of credit and determination, Mike landed his first construction job as a trial run with Homes by Design One. They were so pleased with the customer service, quality, timeliness, and affordability that they contracted with Safford Construction to build 40 decks that year and 80 decks per year in years following.
Over the past 14 years, Safford Construction has expanded to include basement finishing, custom decks, arbors, pergolas, and snow removal. Safford Construction is a member of the Metro Omaha Business Association and an Accredited business with the Better Business Bureau.
